Winter WOOF London was my first time attending this Christmas dog event. And here I share my personal experience of how it felt inside the venue.

First, I describe the atmosphere inside the venue so you can picture the space.
Then, I explain how each activity worked during our visit.
Finally, you will see why this simple Christmas event became such a warm and memorable experience.

  • Great socialisation for dogs in an indoor setting
  • Indoor Christmas event for dogs at The Ministry, Borough
  • New small pet brands, healthy treats, toys and sniff games
  • Santa Paws photo session available
  • Fun activities like tarot reading and Reiki for dogs
  • Best to visit early to enjoy calm space and take photos

Winter WOOF London is an annual Christmas event created for dogs and their humans.

Usually, it takes place in late November, which makes it a perfect start to the festive season.
Next, the event takes place at The Ministry in Borough.
Additionally, the venue is warm, fully indoor, and divided into several rooms with a small outdoor area.

Then, once you step inside, the atmosphere immediately feels cosy, friendly, and full of Christmas spirit.
As a result, it becomes a comfortable space to explore, relax, and enjoy time with your pup.

The event includes:

  • ๐Ÿ›๏ธ A mini pet-friendly market
  • ๐Ÿ“ธ Festive photo spots
  • ๐Ÿถ Activities for dogs
  • ๐Ÿน Drinks and food available at the bar

The event offers different ticket types:

  • ๐ŸŽŸ๏ธ Basic Ticket (ยฃ7)
Admission for one human and one dog.
Includes a free Puppuccino and Doggy Bone Broth.
  • โœจ Activity Tickets
    Includes entry and selected activities.
  • ๐ŸŽ… VIP & Santa Paws Tickets
Includes entry, activities, and a photo session with Santa.

I bought the Basic Ticket. Later, I added two activities on the day: the tarot session and the Santa Paws photo slot.

๐Ÿ’ก Tip for First-Time Visitors

If you’re unsure about attending, the Basic Ticket is a safe choice. Winter WOOF allows walk-ins, so you can buy extra activities on the day without committing in advance. Itโ€™s perfect for anyone with an unpredictable schedule.
โœจ A Lovely Touch:
ยฃ5 from every General Ticket goes directly to Jai Dog Rescue. Itโ€™s a small but meaningful way to support rescue dogs while enjoying a festive day with your own pup.

Cookie and I arrived near opening time at 11 am. Because we arrived early, we explored the space calmly before it became busy. Then we walked through the rooms, greeted other dogs, and enjoyed the festive displays.

Exploring the Small-Business Stalls ๐Ÿ›๏ธ

The market area was vibrant and creative, with handmade products, Christmas treats, and independent pet brands. Here is a peek at some of the lovely stalls we found.

  • ๐Ÿ– Natural, healthy treats
  • ๐Ÿฒ Fresh meals for dogs
  • ๐Ÿฝ Sniff toys (a huge trend right now)
  • ๐Ÿงฉ Interactive puzzles
  • ๐ŸŽ„ Seasonal toys and handmade items

Many stalls offered free samples, which is perfect if your dog is picky.

I bought a fun pyramid-style puzzle toy – Roolo- from Play 9.
It kept Cookie entertained much longer than her usual puzzles or sniff mats.

Even after the treats were gone, she still used her paw to spin it.

As a result, it turned out to be one of the best finds of the day!

Tarot Reading for Cookie ๐Ÿ”ฎ

This was our first tarot session for a dog, and the experience felt surprisingly special. It was light-hearted, fun, and also calming for both of us. I filmed and photographed the moment, and afterwards I realised how attentive Cookie had been the entire time.

Interestingly, the reader did not ask any questions about us. She simply observed the energy between me and Cookie. Then, she mentioned something that genuinely touched me: she said our communication felt intense and intuitive. In fact, one of the cards suggested that I should trust Cookieโ€™s intuition more . Something I already suspected.

This detail made the session even sweeter. Cookie has shown intuitive moments before. In fact, as Iโ€™ve mentioned in other articles, she often senses things long before I do. Therefore, hearing it from someone who knew nothing about us felt meaningful and unexpectedly validating.

Ultimately, seeing Cookie so calm, focused, and connected filled my heart. It was a gentle reminder of how bright and joyful her little spirit is. In addition, it showed me why these moments together matter so much.

Santa Paws Photo Session ๐ŸŽ…

Our Santa Paws ticket included 10 minutes of photos with Santa.
The setup felt warm and beautifully festive. It had a small Christmas tree, a cosy sofa, a glowing fireplace backdrop, and even a tiny sled. Because of these details, it truly felt like stepping into a little Christmas living room.

Santa was kind and patient, which immediately helped Cookie relax. She looked around with bright eyes, and soon after, she posed with her usual confidence. As always, she loved the attention.

The photos were emailed to me afterwards.
We may contact them later to ask for a few extra shots, especially because the session felt so special.

Overall, this moment added a lovely emotional touch to our Winter WOOF London experience. It was sweet, cheerful, and full of Christmas magic . Exactly what you hope for in a festive dog event.

Winter WOOF is excellent for indoor socialisation.
Dogs stay on lead and move through different rooms. As a result, they meet small and large dogs in a safe, controlled environment.

Cookie met many friendly dogs, and each one behaved calmly inside the space. Because of that, she felt confident and relaxed. Additionally, this kind of indoor contact helps dogs learn confidence in places beyond open parks.

๐ŸŒฟ Personal Story:

Cookie loved the space and the energy. The venue had so many smells, sounds and friendly dogs. It was a stimulating environment for her. She became very excited with all the new scents and friendly faces. Something unusual happened. Cookie is always clean and very well behaved indoors. However, she ended up peeing inside the venue. The staff reacted with so much kindness. They came immediately with a smile and reassured me that it was normal. Their attitude made the situation light and stress free.

Additionally, the bar area creates a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. It also gives humans a moment to pause and chat. Moreover, it offers a cosy place to enjoy the experience while the dogs explore.

๐ŸŒฟ Personal Story:

I ordered a croissant and a coffee and looked for a place to sit. Then I noticed a free chair at a table where a lovely woman was already sitting with her small dog. We started talking, and the conversation flowed naturally.

After a few minutes, we realised we live in the same neighbourhood. It felt surprising and sweet. Events like Winter WOOF help dogs socialise, but they also bring humans together in simple, friendly ways. This small moment made the day even warmer.

We took the Underground to Borough Station. After that, we walked for around 10 minutes to reach The Ministry.
The route is simple, quick, and very clear to follow.

Because the event is indoors, it is ideal for dog-friendly London days with colder weather.
Furthermore, the area has good public transport links, which makes the journey easy even for nervous travellers.

If you want time and space for photos, arrive early.
That way, you can enjoy the festive displays before the venue becomes busy.

In the afternoon, Winter WOOF also has dog contests such as:

  • ๐Ÿ• Best Rescue
  • ๐Ÿ‘— Best Dressed
  • โœจFestive Tricks

We did not stay for the competitions, but they are fun if you want to spend the full day there.

Here is why Winter WOOF is worth adding to your calendar:

  • ๐Ÿ›๏ธ Discover new independent brands
  • ๐Ÿ Try healthy treats and fresh-food options
  • ๐Ÿค Support small businesses
  • ๐Ÿงธ Find new toys and interactive puzzles
  • ๐Ÿ  Socialise your dog indoors
  • ๐ŸŽ… Enjoy Santa photos and festive decorations
  • ๐ŸŽ„ Spend a sweet Christmas day with your pup
